Is there a better way? That is for you to decide. FRESH is a movie that will make you think about the food you eat and where it comes from. Do you know where your food comes from? How do the things that are sprayed on our food really effect our lives and our health? Are there better options? We could have those options available to us right now and we hadn't even thought about it.
Pull out your calendar and change your schedule. We are changing our Flip Flotsam NEAT Night from the Wednesday, October 21st to Thursday, October 29th at 7pm. We need to make this change in order for the students involved in the Reusable Bag Blitz on Saturday, October 24th, to include the comments and reactions they receive into their presentation. With all of the work these students are putting into this project, changing the date is the least we can do.
Join us at Whole Wheat & Honey on Thursday, October 29th at 7pm for the premiere of our “One Less Bag” short film, produced by School District 60 students. We will also be showing the short film Flip-Flotsam, an enchanting lyrical adventure in the life of another oft-discarded item: the flip-flop. Follow the life of a sandal in an African City, to the gutters and the ocean to the beaches of a small village where local artisans have found a way to turn trash into treasure.
